Bethesda Softworks revealed on Wednesday that the versions of "Fallout 4" and "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" Special Edition will get mod support available. Note that in September, the game publisher said that pledged mod support will not be arriving because of some undisclosed confines from Sony.

"The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" Special Edition will be the first to get the mod support for the PlayStation 4 version, according to its website. The "Skyrim's" remastered version will be released on October 28 both on PS4 and Xbox One. Also, the "Skyrim" Special Edition will support Sony's forthcoming PlayStation 4 Pro equipped with 'native 4K' version accessible on the more formidable console.

Polygon noted that Bethesda has plans of updating Fallout 4 to support mods together with PS4 Pro hardware after the fulfillment on Skyrim Special Edition. The company said, "We expect Fallout 4 to take advantage of the PS4 Pro in 4k along with enhanced lighting and graphics features."

Revamping the Skyrim will enable gamers to produce their own content utilizing Bethesda's Creation Kit. The game is set to arrive on October 28 along with the support for mods.

"We and Sony have worked hard to make this possible," the company wrote. "Mods on PlayStation 4 will allow you to modify and create your own content by using our Creation Kit. You will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do."

PS4 owners will be capable of downloading and checking out mods made by the company and players from within the game after creating an account. To date, "Fallout 4" has a total figure of 2,966 mods on the PC while Xbox One console has 3,979 mods. The PS4 congregate will surely add to the Fallout 4 stack, according to Digital Trends.

Bethesda emphasizes that there is one significant restriction that console owners should be aware of PS4 mods.
