Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is all set to enter into Tamil film industry with superstar Rajinikanth's director daughter Soundarya's next film.
The 31-year-old "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" actress is roped in to play female lead in Soundarya's directorial venture Nilavukku Enmael Ennadi Kobam (NEEK) opposite Tamil superstar Dhanush, Times of India reported. Dhanush and Kapoor have previously worked together in 2013 hit movie "Raanjhaana." Dhanush had debuted in Bollywood with Aanand L Rai directed romance drama "Raanjhaana."
Initially, Soundarya was looking for new faces for the movie but she has decided to cast Dhanush and Kapoor in the movie, media reports said. "Soundarya has managed to rope in her brother-in-law Dhanush and leading Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor as the lead pair for the film, which revolves around marital problems," sources told Deccan Chronicle newspaper.
Kapoor, who was last seen in "Neeraja," is currently busy shooting for a chick flick "Veere Di Wedding," which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shikha Talsaniya and Swara Bhaskar in lead roles. The Shashanka Ghosh-directed movie, which is produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoo, will release next year. Dhanush, on the other hand, is currently busy with promotion of his upcoming Tamil political thriller "Kodi." The 33-year-old "Maari" star will be seen doing double roles in the movie for the first time in his career. The movie, which also stars Trisha Krishnan and Anupana Parameswaran in lead roles, is slated to release on this Diwali ( October 27). Check out trailer of Dhanush's upcoming movie "Kodi" here.
