Bollywood's star couple Ajay Devgn and Kajol have supported ban on Pakistani artists working in India.

Devgn said in an media interview on Thursday that he will not work with Pakistani artists in current situation. The Indian film industry is divided over Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA)'s recent decision to ban Pakistan actors from working in India in wake of Uri terror attack.

"Not working with Pakistani artists at the moment. I am very clear on this because you are an Indian first. I don't care if my film doesn't release in Pakistan. Their artistes are standing by their nation," Devgn told CNN IBN news channel, the Hitavada newspaper reported. Devgn's actress wife Kajol also supported her husband's stand over the issue.

The 47-year-old "Singham" star, however, came out in support of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan's upcoming Indian movie "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil." The Karan Johar directed romance drama will clash with Devgn's upcoming movie "Shivaay" at box office on October 28. A Mumbai based Marathi nationalist outfit -Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) - has demanded a ban on the movie because of Khan's presence in it.

Devgn opposed MNS's call saying that it is unfair to ban a Bollywood movie featuring a Pakistani star. "Sometimes, it gets difficult to remove anybody from a film that has already been completed," the "Drishyam" actor said, Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency reported. "I feel, when people have shot a film before an issue has happened, they should be allowed to release it."

Check out "Raatein," "Darkhaast" and "Bol Har Har" songs from Devgn's upcoming movie "Shivaay" here.
