The sequel to highly anticipated anime "One Punch Man" is officially returning. The adventures of the extremely funny hero continues with season two and it promises interesting action scenes as old and new foes show up to challenge the great Saitama.

Anime fans have a reason to celebrate this week because of a very interesting announcement: season 2 of the wildly popular "One Punch Man" is officially announced. The announcement was made through a tweet from the anime series' official twitter account. The same announcement did not have any additional information but the wait is finally over as the series will be returning with fresh episodes.

Aside from the announcement of the anime's second season, the tweet also mentioned an upcoming game next year. The poster included in the tweet did not have any image of the characters as it only shows the series name and the number 2 set against the background of a wall broken by a giant punch.

For the unfamiliar, "One Punch Man" tells the story of a hero Saitama. The series is extremely popular because of its unique treatment of a hero story. Saitama actually became a hero because he finds it fun and he has become so bored about his ability since he can finish his enemies by a single punch.

Aside from the unique story line, the conversations of Saitama against his enemies are quirky and funny. The series still has some very interesting action sequences as villains and other heroes also join in for some action with/against Saitama.

According to comicbook, the "One Punch Man" started as a web comic in 2009 and was remade as a manga in 2012. The first season of the anime series debuted in 2015.

Just like the first season, the second season will lift much of its sources from the manga. Lord Boros, who made his appearance in the final episodes of the series will return and challenge the hero. Aside from the old enemies, Saitama might face someone he is extremely familiar with: Genos, his disciple ends up working for the enemy.

Even with no specific confirmation date, the announcement of the second season is big for the anime fans. The popular anime series is expected for 2017 release along with the mobile game.
