Robert Pattinson, who soared to fame with hit "Twilight" movie series recently revealed about his hyped "Twilight" days. He revealed that he took up the fame that came with the success of the franchise and apparently got into drinking to relieve the stress that came with it.
According to The Improper, Pattinson revealed that he was surmounted with a lot of stress when he had to do around 80 interviews in a single day for promoting the franchise. To combat the stress that came with the fame, he indulged in drinking and that largely happened during the press tours of the fantasy vampire franchise.
Pattinson said that although he does not remember many details about the good old days but he remembers going on the tours with his co-star and girlfriend at time, Kristen Stewart. He allegedly claimed that all the fame that made him a star, led him into a life of excessive drinking.
Pattinson further revealed some more details about his famed days saying that he used to get wasted the whole time when "Twilight" was a massive hit. He said that he used to be so drunk all the time that the studio cut off his days, as he became a total liability for them. He added that he used to speak gibberish all the time due to drinking problem.
For Lionsgate, "Twilight" emerged as a major success during the days when the studio was struggling to sustain itself. In an interview with The Talks, Pattinson revealed that he used to get photograph done while being drunk or smoking a cigarette but he was perceived differently.
He further said that everyone wants stars to be so vanilla in the recent times. In fact, during "Twilight" promotion, he used to give stupid interviews in the beginning but his media agent made sure that his comments should come out as vanilla and not just lame jokes.
Meanwile, the actor is currently busy promoting his upcoming movies namely, "The Lost City of Z," "Good Time" and "Damsel." His recently released film "The Childhood of a Leader" received positive response from audience.
