SM STATION is ending this week with Suho's "Curtain" featuring Song Young Joo as the last release, but fear not, as the ambitious, year-long project by SM will continue to live on in its second season.

The first season of SM STATION contained 52 songs spread out through a weekly release, containing a variety of genres and featured interesting collaborations with non-SM artists, according to Soompi. It also allowed the chance for rare inter-label collaborations with other Korean agencies such as JYP artists and even foreign acts such as Alesso. Occasionally, it also featured songs from commercial endorsements such as Pantene with Yuri and Seohyun or Coca-Cola with NCT 127.

The project was launched on Feb. 3, 2016, ending one year later on the same date. It was a platform for SM to explore other genres and even provide solos for most of their acts such as Amber, Lay, Dana, Hyoyeon, Yoona and Jonghyun, with some of them having not released a solo prior to being featured in SM STATION. Several songs became chart-topping hits such as Taeyeon's "Rain," Eric Nam and Wendy's "Spring Love," and Heechul and Min Kyung-hoon's "Sweet Dream."

While season one of the digital music channel has ended, an insider confirmed that a second season is in the works and will feature more international collaborations, Allkpop reported. The first year of SM STATION already showcased an eclectic mix of SM acts, producers, composers and musicians, so it'll be exciting to know what SM's planning ahead for its second season.

No further details have been announced yet, but it is expected that a week after the release of "Curtain," SM will probably make an announcement regarding what to expect with the next season of SM STATION.
