The whole furore around Calvin Harris-Taylor Swift break up refuses to die down. And now for the very first time, he has opened up about what went wrong in his love affair with her.
Speaking to GQ, the "This is what you came for" hitmaker explained that the couple didn't want their relationship to be a media circus and wanted to keep it as private as possible."When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus. She respected my feelings in that sense," he told the magazine.
And indeed as Harris said all hell broke loose after their relationship ended. According to him, he snapped because things were '"piling on top of him"'. The 32-year-old also admits that '"the stuff that happened afterwards"' their break up shouldn't have happened.
Things took an ugly turn post their breakup when the former couple threw shade at each other publicly. In one of his such public tirade, he even threw subtle hints that she cheated on him after photographs of her and Tom Hiddleston kissing surfaced just two weeks after their break up.
Things turned further uglier between the two after the "Wildest Dreams" singer's representatives confirmed that she wrote the lyrics of Harris' hit song "This is What you came for". He later confirmed it saying that she wrote the lyrics of the song under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg. He however, refused to give her entire credit as demanded by Swift.
According to Vanity Fair, he even tweeted asking her to focus on her new relationship with Hiddleston instead of talking about him. He also brought in her alleged rivalry with Katy Perry saying that she is trying to bury him like Perry, but he won't allow it.
