Filipino actress Angel Locsin, 30, will be serving as a reality TV series judge for the first time. Recently, ABS-CBN announced that the International Emmy Awards-nominated actress will be part of the panel of judges of "Pilipinas Got Talent," the Philippine version of the global British "Got Talent" franchise.

"Pilipinas Got Talent" Season 5 is set to premiere on ABS-CBN on Jan. 23. It will be hosted by Locsin's boyfriend Luis Manzano, 34, and 2003 NRJ Music Awards International Male Artist of the Year Billy Crawford and Locsin's fellow judges are ABS-CBN board member Freddie M. Garcia, 72, and Filipino action star Robin Padilla, 46.

Padilla and Locsin co-starred in the ABS-CBN comedy series "Todo Max" from 2011 to 2013. Prior to the announcement that Locsin will be a "Pilipinas Got Talent" Season 5 judge, Locsin was set to play the title role of the upcoming "Darna" film, which is the Filipino version of the American Wonder Woman.

However, Locsin decided to pull out of the "Darna" project in October 2015 due to health concerns. In a statement obtained by Philippine Star, it was announced that the Filipino actress developed "a disc bulge in her spine" after undergoing "various rigorous training regimens for two years."

The last film Locsin starred in was the 2013 dramatic comedy film "Four Sisters and a Wedding" opposite Shaina Magdayao, Bea Alonzo, Toni Gonzaga and Enchong Dee. While Locsin is no longer starring in the upcoming "Darna" movie, she is set to star in another dramatic comedy film titled "Everything About Her" opposite 2014 Dhaka International Film Festival Best Actress Vilma Santos.

The last TV series Locsin starred in was the 2014 drama series "The Legal Wife" on ABS-CBN opposite Jericho Rosales and Maja Salvador. In 2009, Locsin was received a Best Performance by an Actress nomination from the International Emmy Awards but lost to the BBC's "A Short Stay in Switzerland" actress Julie Walters, who recently received a BAFTA Film Awards 2016 nomination for her "Brooklyn" performance, BBC News reported.

Locsin was born on April 23, 1985, in Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines, as Angelica Locsin Colmenares. Almost two years before she had her International Emmy Awards nomination, she went to London to briefly study fashion design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
