DC Rebirth has been on fire since its release on June and, with its upcoming first major event comic, fans are even looking for more. This major event comic is called "Justice League vs. Suicide Squad" and it will show the two teams battling each other as Batman attempts to finally take down Amanda Waller.

"Justice League vs. Suicide Squad" is a mini-series having only six issues that set for release in December 2017 and January 2017, according to The Wall Street Journal. Collaborating on the series will be writer Joshua Williamson ("The Flash," DC Vertigo's "Frostbite") and artists Jason Fabok ("Justice League: Darkseid War") and Tony S. Daniel ("Justice League," "Deathstroke").

DC Comics' official website also mentions that the third through the sixth issues will be released weekly throughout January. The issues will also be linked with "Suicide Squad" written by Rob Williams and "Justice League" by guest "Nightwing" writer Tim Seeley.

The story will revolve around the League's discovery of Amanda Waller's Task Force X (Suicide Squad). The paragons of justice will not take well with the methods of the anti-hero team of super villains secretly sanctioned by the government and eventually both teams will clash.

Amidst the conflict between the League and the Squad, another secret team lurking in the darkness pulls the strings that could expose the dark secrets of the Rebirth saga. It will be up to the rivalling teams to cast aside their differences and thwart a long forgotten evil force in the DC Universe.

Just like any other major event comic in the past, numerous tie-ins will be leading to crossover "Justice League vs. Suicide Squad." These tie-ins include the 12th and 13th issues of "Justice League" and the ninth and 10th issues of "Suicide Squad," to name a few. It was also reported that the crossover comic's events will lead to an even new "Justice League of America" series.

Additionally, "Justice League vs. Suicide Squad" will set new quarterly trend for major event comics. If that's the case, DC comicbook fans will be looking forward to more major crossovers around April 2017.
