Crime drama TV series "Elementary" has been renewed for its fifth season and there have been numerous rumors on what is to be expected. Now rumors of possibly more developments in the relationship between Gregson (played by Aidan Quinn) and Paige (played by Virginia Madsen) are now ringing loud.
Previously, Gregson and Paige had a major fallout, which eventually led to their break-up. Eventually, this was changed as Joan (played by Lucy Liu) found reports of Paige's condition of multiple sclerosis, which was intended to be kept secret. As a result, Joan relayed the information to Gregson, hopefully using that to patch things up between the lovers.
Creator and executive producer Robert Doherty said in an enterview with Entertainment Weekly that Gregson and Paige's relationship will continue grow in the upcoming season of "Elementary." There were also further speculations that the couple might decide to settle down and even get married.
In other news, along with the upcoming season, the series is reaching its 100th episode this coming Oct. 30. To celebrate its milestone, the show decided to bring in actor Owain Yeoman as a guest star according to TV Line. The guest star will be a scientist and a boarding school classmate of Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) in an episode "Henny Penny The Sky Is Falling" for "Elementary" Season 5.
The plot of Yeoman's involvment revolves around a murder case involving killer asteroids in which Sherlock asks assistance from. Both Yeoman's and Miller's characters will uncover the plot behind these asteroids, using complex methods to help NASA in identifying and preventing them. As the 100th episode of "Elementary" is said to be full mysteries, showrunner Doherty mentions that Yeoman's character will be interestingly colorful and enjoyable.
The latest season of "Elementary" will air on Oct. 2.
