Development for the upcoming sci-fi, futuristic RPG "Cyberpunk 2077" has commenced as CD Projekt RED sent out a list of job ads on their official website. Known for their success of "The Witcher" series, the company is planning the game to be even bigger and better than their previous game.
An article from the website Attack of the Fanboy has reported that the company has job openings for vehicle programmers, character designers, and senior gameplay designers. Teaser images show a whole neon look to supposedly reflect the game's theme, though it still remains to be seen if this will be an overall concept to the design.
PC Games N has reported the role for the vehicle designers, based on the job listings from CD Projekt RED's website. The "senior vehicle artist" has the responsibility to design and model "incredibly complex vehicles, planes, bikes, robots and mechanics."
The Polish game studio also stressed on how important the gameplay of these vehicle will turn out, which makes highly possible that the players will utilize a huge variety of vehicles. Programmers involved with that task will collaborate with gameplay and level designers to "create the whole architecture of vehicle related code and the physics of driving / flying in those vehicles."
Previously in "The Witcher 3," there have been numerous feedbacks on Geralt's horse, Roach, and his strange behavior when traversing on a hill. That said, the horse will perform all kinds of glitch-y behaviors such turning upside-down. Hopefully CD Projekt RED would use this as an example to improve this in their upcoming sci-fi RPG.
Along with the single-player element in "Cyberpunk 2077," the game is said to include a multiplayer mode as well. Other than the aforementioned upcoming features, nothing much else about the game else has been revealed with the possibility that even more details would shed more light on it by next year.
