"Shadow Warrior 2" is set to be released in less than two months according to a teaser post in the official Twitter account of the game. The speculations that "Shadow Warrior 2" will be finally out in October, was put down when publisher Devolver Digital revealed that "Shadow Warrior 2" will be coming out in September on PC while PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will immediately follow.

In contrary to the initial announcement from the "Shadow Warrior 2" Twitter page, Devolver Digital's Nigel Lowrie announced that "Shadow Warrior 2" will be released in September. However, no specific date has been set yet. Lowrie also revealed that the first platform will be PC, then they will be deploying out the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after the initial release.

Aside from the official release, not much information has been revealed about "Shadow Warrior 2." However, the progress seems to be shaping up well based on the development made between 2015's E3 outing and this year's display at PAX East, PC Gamer reported.

"Shadow Warrior 2" will still follow the tale of Zilla Enterprise's corporate shogun, Lo Wang, who was ordered to search and acquire the legendary blade Nobitsura Kage in the first installment. The game gives out an imaginative take on the classic arcade style shooting game.

Meanwhile, Tadeusz Zielinski of "Flying Wild Hog" noted that "Shadow Warrior 2" will target a resolution of 30fps/1080p on its current consoles. However, this might probably change with the upcoming release of PS4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio.

It can be noted that if it becomes a standard for games today, then upgrading may perhaps be worth it. A bunch of different studios such as Bethesda could find advantage in the upgrade. In addition, developer Hajime Tabata of "Final Fantasy XV" is also reportedly interested in the power that the new consoles could hold, PlayStation Lifestyle reported.
