Nissan has announced that 10 new locations have been added to their "No Charge to Charge" program.  This is great news for those who are planning to have a new Nissan LEAF, the world's best selling electric vehicle with 95,000 units sold in the United States alone.

"Nissan's popular 'No Charge to Charge' program expands to 10 new markets today, continuing the push to provide LEAF owners with no-cost public charging," said the car manufacturer in a press release on Aug. 4.  "The program offers new LEAF buyers free public charging for the first two years of ownership, drastically reducing or completely eliminating the costs of operating their vehicle."

According to the said press release, the new markets that now enjoy the "No Charge to Charge" program include: Charleston, South Carolina; Charlotte, North Carolina; Colorado Springs/ Pueblo, Colorado; Greenville/ Spartanburg/ Asheville/ Anderson, North Carolina/ South Carolina; Jackson, Florida; Miami; Milwaukee; Palm Springs, Florida; Portland/ Auburn, Maine; and Tampa/ St. Petersburg/ Sarasota, Florida.

These places add to the list that already includes Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Las Vegas, New York, Ohio, Sacramento, Texas, and many more. There are now more than 800 public quick-charging stations in 48 cities in the U.S., the names of which can be found on the iOS and Android LEAF EZ-Charge app.

The "No Charge to Charge" promo is open to motorist who buy the Nissan LEAF from certified dealers.  It lets them charge their new car for free for 24 months upon purchase.  This, according to Nissan, equates to up to $10 in savings per charge and as much as $1,000 in savings over the two-year period.  This is an added bonus, especially for owners of the 2016 LEAF SV and the 2016 LEAF SL since these models, says Green Car Reports, already boast an EPA-estimated mileage of 107 miles on a full battery.  And when charging is needed, the fast-charging stations can juice up the LEAF's battery from 0 to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes.
