"Train to Busan" remains to be successful and on top, as the movie recently reached its 10 million mark regarding the number of viewers who have watched the movie since it premiered. Another good news for the movie is that many major production companies all over the world are fighting for the remake rights of the hit flick.

Accordingly, local and international production companies are looking into making a remake about the zombie apocalypse film. Some international companies named are 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures, Canal Plus, Gaumont, EuropaCorp, and many more, Soompi reported.

This news comes after "Train to Busan" attracted a total of 9,000,547 viewers on Aug 4. That number marked the fastest ever recorded viewership for a film, which was reached in just a couple of days since its debut on July 20. It has even surpassed other Korean hit films like "Veteran" and "Assasination."

As of now, "Train to Busan" has reached the 10 million mark as per the latest data released by the Korean Film Council on Sunday, Aug. 7, All KPop reported.

"Train to Busan" was directed by Yeon Sang-ho. The plot centers inside a bullet train travelling from Seoul to Busan. One person who was already a zombie made her way inside the train before it started to travel and bit one of the attendants. The leading stars in the film are Choi Woo-shik, Goon Yoo, Jung Yu-mi, and Ma Dong-seok.

"Train to Busan" remake rights might not be given to a U.S. production company as an executive producer from the film claimed that the movie might suit best in France as they also use bullet trains as much as Korean citizens do.

"Train to Busan" has been sold to 156 countries and earned a revenue of around $27 million.
