Less than a week before its official release date, the highly-anticipated video game "No Man's Sky" was reportedly beaten by a man in 30 hours. A great feat considering that the developers of the game, Hello Games, initially said that it would take between 40 and 100 hours to "reach the center of the universe," the game's de facto objective.

Famous for its massive and "nearly infinite" scale, "No Man's Sky" was shot to mainstream consciousness with its unique take on the video game industry. A Reddit user with a handle daymeeuhn claims that he was able to beat the game in about 30 hours. Since the game is still unavailable to the public, daymeeuhn was able to get his hands on a leaked copy from eBay which cost him $1,250 including shipment fee, according to Vice.

In a series of posts, daymeeuhn seems to be uninterested about the scale of "No Man's Sky." In one of his posts, he said that he is more interested about the sounds he is hearing while playing the game, as well as bugs and interesting design concepts of the game.

In a post, daymeeuhn shared, "Expectations on this game seem a bit over hyped and not because the game is bad but rather because I think expectations don't necessarily math the gameplay style of what's actually here."

Daymeeuhn also shared that his 30-hour game time record was not singularly focused into reaching the center of the universe. According to Polygon, daymeeuhn said that he was able to get his hands into a very valuable in-game item which allowed him to upgrade his ship to significantly improve his odds of reaching the main objective of the game in record time.

"No Man's Sky" is slated to be released for the PlayStation 4 on Aug. 9. The game will be released for the Windows PC platform on Aug. 12.
