The second half of "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 2 will find Nick discovering spiritual comfort in a mysterious location, while the rest of the group will have to face the new episodes in survival mode.

"Fear the Walking Dead" showrunner Dave Erickson has previewed Nick's storyline when the post-apocalypse drama returns, saying that Nick wants to "find a place where people see the dead the way he does."

Moving forward in the back half of the second season, Nick will go on a journey to find people who are more "likeminded" and who will give him clues. However, things will not go smoothly the way he planned them.

"When he actually gets to a place with some degree of spiritual comfort for him, it's not going to last very long," Erickson told Entertainment Weekly.

For the rest of the group, Erickson said in an interview that viewers should expect them to be in survival mode when "Fear the Walking Dead" returns. Now that their sanctuary and source of living have been compromised, it will take a matter of time before the families reunite.

As to whether the group will go back to water or land, Erickson said that they will "try to return to the Abigail" in the back half of "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 2.

Meanwhile, AMC has released the official poster of "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 2B - IGN reported. The new keyart will be featured on this year's Comic Con event in San Diego.

Executive produced by Gale Ann Hurd and Greg Nicotero, "Fear the Walking Dead" stars Alycia Debnam-Carey, Cliff Curtis, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Frank Dillane, Kim Dickens and Meredes Mason.

"Fear the Walking Dead" Season 2 resumes on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 9PM on AMC.
