With "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 premiering soon, the TV show has exciting new changes to its plot, including a possible natural pregnancy for Jane (Gina Rodriguez). However, because of Michael's (Brett Dier) accident, it is uncertain whether he'll be the one to take Jane's virginity.

It can be remembered that "Jane the Virgin" Season 2's finale episode saw Michael being shot by Rose, disguised as Susanna, right before Michael and Jane's honeymoon; thus, the new couple was unable to consummate their marriage. Fans should not to worry though, as Dier ensured fans that he will still be part of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 cast.

Meanwhile, according to Ecumenical News, Michael's fate will be determined right at the start of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. Executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman even shared her ideas about this matter in a recent interview, wherein she said that "regardless of if Michael lives or if Michael dies," what happens after is what matters. She also questioned, "after something traumatic, can you still hold onto your sense of magic a little bit?"

The said question alludes to the theme of "growing up," a theme they want to tackle in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3, after covering the themes of pregnancy and motherhood in the previous seasons. According to Christian Times, "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will feature Jane experiencing what it's like to lose her virginity, what it's like to carry a child through natural pregnancy while having a new career.

Furthermore, "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will feature Jane entering a new chapter in her life, as she strives to juggle being a career woman, a mother and a wife. Rodriguez shared that she will be experiencing "a lot of pressure," but is "excited" about all the different ideas and complications that she may go through in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3.

"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will first air its pilot episode on Oct. 17.
