"The Seven Deadly Sins" special episodes are set to air in August, and though its second season is also confirmed, no exact schedule of its return has been released.
"The Seven Deadly Sins" will be airing four special episodes starting Aug. 28, Anime News Network reported. Its first special installment is entitled "The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War," which will air for four weeks. The "The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War" speical episode premiere will be shown on MBS and TBS, while the English dubbed version of the episodes are expected to come out in 2017.
Meanwhile, reports claim that there is a huge possibility that the "The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2 may have a new theme, with Tomokazu Tokoro as the director. The "Seven Deadly Sins" Season 1 revolved around the Holy Knights as protectors of the Kingdom of Liones; feared by the villagers.
"The Seven Deadly Sins'" Knights use magic and are known to be powerful and mysterious. The Seven Deadly Sins are the strongest amongst all of the knights, but are known traitors. The Holy Knights are enemies of these traitors.
Queen Elizabeth, ruler of the Kingdom of Liones, is skeptic to the legend. In order to find the truth of the stories, she searches for the true existence of the Seven Deadly Sins. As she hunts the Seven Deadly Sins, she is shaken by her discovery that they are powerful, but harmless. The first of the Sin Knight that the queen met was a boy named Melodias. She was disappointed to have discovered that the boy is paid to look after pigs, My Anime List reported.
