Hong Kong actress Queenie Chu has expressed support for fellow actress Charmaine Sheh's new venture and congratulated her on successfully opening her own agency.

Asked whether she would follow in Charmaine's footsteps and open her own work studio or agency, the Ip Man: The Final Fight actress said no.

Last month, Charmaine opened her own agency as a birthday gift to herself. She said that she wants the freedom to choose the jobs she would appear in.

Queenie said that she has worked with Charmaine several times, and they constantly talk to each other through the mobile messaging app, WhatsApp. However, she admitted that they rarely see each other.

In other news, Queenie, and Heidi Chu were present at the Children Charity Foundation event held at Kowloon Bay recently. As an ambassador, Queenie actively shows her support for low-income families.

This is not Queenie's first foray into charity work. In 2004, she joined the Miss Hong Kong competition and became a favorite of judges and fans. Due to this, she won the title of Tourism ambassador, but ended up behind Miss Hong Kong 2004 winner Kate Tsui.

After the competition, she continued to do charity work in several countries as the ambassador for Hong Kong. She, later, on started appearing in a few TVB variety shows.

She is now signed on as an actor for TVB and has been with the network for 12 years. Now, however, she has expressed her desire to reach a wider market, saying "I wish to film drama in Mainland China and a mini-movie too."
