The movie adaptation of the widely-popular video game from Blizzard Entertainment, "Warcraft," which stars Chinese-American actor Daniel Wu and Paula Patton, is predicted to become the highest-grossing Hollywood film of all-time in China.

According to The Beijinger, the $160 million worth CG, live-action film has already generated more than $3 million in internet pre-sales a week before it officially opens in China, data from Tech Web revealed.

Based on this figure, the movie is seen to have a good chance of challenging "Furious 7" head-on in Chinese box-office. The Vin Diesel movie has raked in at least $8 million in internet pre-sales, which makes it the top-grossing Hollywood movie ever in the mainland.

While Daniel Wu's "Warcraft" movie has received bad reviews overseas, but this has apparently not affected the anticipation among Chinese movie lovers. The 'Warcraft' hame is said to be very popular in China.

Critics have lambasted the "Warcraft" movie saying it is not based on the plot of the hit video game that fans had been expecting.

The movie named "Warcraft: The Beginning" does not talk about the human prince Arthas Menethil, who eventually becomes the villain Lich King because of evil forces - the plot of "Warcraft III."
