The latest chapter of "Tokyo Ghoul:re" offers a flashback and an update on current battle between Urie and Donato. Although they are set on a different timeline, these events offer an eerie forecast in the future of ghouls especially Kaneki's group.

The latest chapter of "Tokyo Ghoul:re" is currently available for online reading in Manga Stream. The chapter starts with Amon's capture with Eto and Kanou looking after his transformation and it was revealed that Amon was force fed and experimented by the CCG in order to enhance his powers. These memories pushed Amon out of the pod where he was being kept before being transformed into kakuja.
On the other hand, some members of the Quinx Squad went ahead to look for Urie who has been fighting Donato with very little success. Saiko, Hsiao and Higemaru found Urie but is already "framed out." In this situation, Urie is already more ghoul than human but the Quinx Squad decides to save Urie.

"Tokyo Ghoul:re" is becoming one of the most interesting supernatural manga today as it continues to up the ante on how their characters evolve and develop. Amon and Urie will most likely become another set of ghouls that could take on Kaneki head on while members of the Quinx Squad would have to sacrifice their life just to save one of their own.
The reaction in My Anime List was also positive not only because Amon's back but also because Urie's transformation will definitely escalate the events in the manga. Kaneki's mission in finding RC suppressors maybe a success but he and his team will have a really hard time dealing with brand new enemies. It's possible that Amon is not the only one stored in the pods which means more characters from the past are coming.
