A new promotional poster for "The Flash" Season 3 features Kid Flash and The Flash running side-by-side. The poster seems to highlight the importance of the two speedsters' partnership in defeating the bad guys.
The poster came from The Flash Brasil (via Comicbook) and labeled with "Lightning Strikes Twice." There is nothing out of the ordinary seeing Wally West and Barry Allen team up. Instead, the poster only cements the fact that Kid Flash and The Flash becomes a 2-in-1 or package hero team up in "The Flash" Season 3.
The midseason premiere of "The Flash" Season 3 proved that Barry (Grant Gustin) and Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) go side-by-side. The two speedsters go on missions together, with the newbie Kid Flash shadowing the more experienced Flash.
To recap, in "The Flash" Season 3 episode 10, Barry specifically tells Wally to shadow him first. However, the latter decided to capture Plunder, much to Barry's disappointment. Of course, later in the episode he told everyone why he hesitated to put Plunder in Iron Heights. He thought that if he captured him then he would only be cementing Iris' death, since in the future The Flash placed the villain in prison.
In the end, Barry decides to have Wally capture Plunder again after the latter escaped prison. The Flash also gave the credit to Kid Flash. Through this way, Barry changed the future, since he did not capture Plunder but Wally.
Likewise, the "Lightning Strikes Twice" poster for "The Flash" Season 3 hints that Kid Flash could never supersede The Flash. He may be faster than The Flash, according to Screenrant, but he still lacks the proper mindset when tackling challenging missions. The Flash can think straight and find a proper solution during a difficult rescue mission. This is something that Kid Flash still needs to learn.
