‘From Vegas to Macau III’ star Andy Lau: Chow Yun-Fat should fatten up

"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" star Chow Yun-Fat, 60, still looks so great that his fellow Hong Kong superstar and "From Vegas to Macau III" co-star Andy Lau, 54, envy him. On Jan. 31, Sunday, Lau talked about how great Chow looked like at the gala premiere of their new action comedy film at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

"He is looking better and better," Asia One quoted Lau as saying. Wearing a black blazer and rolled-up jeans, he added that Chow "should fatten up because he is making the rest of them "look bad."

Aside from Chow's fit physique, Lau also praised his "From Vegas to Macau III" co-star's positive outlook on life. He pointed out that nothing can faze Chow.

In "From Vegas to Macau III," Chow plays Ken Shek or Ku Chun, the God of Gamblers while Lau plays Michael "Dagger" Chan dubbed the Knight of Gamblers. The two characters originally appeared in the 1989 film "God of Gamblers."

Going by the alias Little Knife, Lau's character tries to protect his friend, Chow's character, from assassination. Lau plays a gambler in the film but it real life, he does not gamble at all.

Lau admitted that he has no interest in gambling. He said he only knows how to play mah-jong because if he gives his father money, he is not so happy unless he gives him the money by losing to him playing mah-jong.

On the other hand, Lau clarified that he does not detest gambling; he just believes that one should not gamble too much. He added that he is not got at real gambling but he is great when it comes to gambling gestures and actions.

Directed by Andrew Lau and Wong Jing, "From Vegas to Macau III" also stars Nick Cheung and Li Yuchun. It features special appearances of Carina Lau, Jacky Cheung and K-pop rapper Psy, who is set to perform at the Dragon TV's lunar New Year's gala, Shanghai Daily reported.

"From Vegas to Macau III" will be released on Feb. 6 in Hong Kong before it gets shown in China on Feb. 8. Watch the trailer here:
