After playing Blink in the 2014 film "X-Men: Days of Future Past," Fan Bingbing is set to star in three films in 2016. Among her co-stars are Pierce Brosnan, Jackie Chan, Kris Wu and Johnny Knoxville.
Fan will co-star with Chan and Knoxville in "Skiptrace." Written by Jay Longino and BenDavid Grabinski, the action comedy is about a detective from Hong Kong and American gambler who team up to battle against a notorious Chinese criminal.
Directed by Renny Lin, "Skiptrace" also stars Tomer Oz, Joel Adrian, Paul Phillip Clark, Temur Mamisashvili, Michael Wong, Johnson Phan, Svitlana Zavialova, Sara Maria Forsberg and Eric Tsang, among others. The film will be released in China in February and in Belgium and rhe Netherlands in March.
In July, Fan's film with Wu titled "L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties" will be released in China. The fantasy film directed by Jinming Guo will also star Mi Yang, Amber Kuo, Aarif Rahman, Yikuan Yan, Cheney Chen and William Wai-Ting Chan, among others.
The release date of "The Moon and the Sun," the action fantasy film starring Brosnan and Fan, is yet to be revealed. The film adaptation of the novel by Vonda N. McIntyre of the same name is directed by Sean McNamara.
Joining Brosnan and Fan in the cast of "The Moon and the Sun" are William Hurt, Benjamin Walker, Kaya Scodelario, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Paul Ireland, Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Clarke, Rachel Griffiths, Virginia Bowers and Tyson Jarvis, among others.
Meanwhile, Brosnan is currently filming "The Foreigner," which also stars Chan. The former James Bond actor was recently spotted in London with a long black coat and suit paired with a white beard and gray hair for his character Liam Hennessy, Irish Central reported.
On Jan. 20, Wednesday, Brosnan was spotted having a lunch date with his wife at The Sunset Restaurant in Malibu, California, Daily Mail reported.
Before starring with Chan and Knoxville in "Skiptrace," with Wu in "L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties" and with Brosnan in "The Moon and the Sun," Fan starred with Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage and Anna Paquin in "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
