So we've already recently had the official title for "Star Wars Episode VIII," and now, we have Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill himself expressing how fond he is with the new title.

Based on a recent interview with the Associated Press, the actor playing the Grand Master Jedi Luke Skywalker noted how the new title "Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi" had a samurai feel to it.

"It's got a real samurai [vibe]," he said. "It's straightforward and minimalist, and I like that."

Hamill obviously knew the title "The Last Jedi" already before but it was challenging to keep this leaking to the public, spoilers and all.  "Don't tell me these things, I talk in my sleep," according to the actor who reportedly mentioned this to "Episode VIII" writer and director Rian Johnson.

The title was officially revealed in a blog post on the official "Star Wars" site, with it being the "the next chapter in the Skywalker saga." A teaser poster was also revealed, revealing only black background with the space theme. What's worth noting also was the how the iconic was portrayed, having a red hue instead of the traditional yellow.

The upcoming chapter in the epic sci-fi saga will be written by written and directed by "Looper" and "The Brothers Bloom" director Rian Johnson, along with Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman producing and J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski serving as executive producers.

Previously, Johnson mentioned that the movie will pick up right where "Force Awakens" left off, saying that Rey will be "taking her first step to coming to terms with this thing inside her that she never knew was there and is just starting to reveal its potential."

But, the title already has begged the question: Who is the "Last Jedi?" While the most straightforward answer may be Luke Skywalker himself, other possibilities point to Rey or even Kylo Ren.

We'll eventually find out as "Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi" releases in theaters on Dec. 15, 2017.
