Vincent D'Onofrio did an incredible work with his portrayal as Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, in the first and second seasons of Netflix's "Daredevil." His performance was incredibly chilling that fans are hoping to see him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Kingpin's arc in the comic books is not limited to his run-ins with Daredevil. His story is rather expansive. Initially an adversary to Spider-Man, the supervillain is regarded as New York City's most feared and powerful crime overlord.

With Tom Holland soon debuting in his standalone "Spider-Man" movie, D'Onofrio talked about the possibility of him working on a Marvel movie. He admitted that it's not going to happen, at least not for a very long time.

The actor also noted that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige explained to him that the MCU is already too jam-packed and bringing in far too many characters simply would not work.

"They're trying to figure out already how to individualise more and at the same time keep The Avengers going. It makes sense not to mix the TV stuff, there's just too many characters," D'Onofrio told Digital Spy.

It's a reasonable argument, considering that there's already a lot going on in the MCU. For one, "Avengers: Infinity War" directors Joe and Anthony Russo previously said that they've discussed including more than 70 characters from the Marvel movies into the big "Avengers" film.

In 2016, D'Onofrio also addressed rumors about him taking part in "Spider-Man: Homecoming." According to Screen Crush, the actor said that while it would be great to join the movie, he doesn't think it will happen.

There's a lot of debate concerning the connection between Marvel's movie and TV universe. Although it's an exciting possibility, it would be a challenge to work on a seamless storyline as well as fix an agreeable schedule for the cast and crew.
