"Star Wars Rebels" preview shows Kanan training Sabine to wield the darksaber as preparation to perform an unknown task. Meanwhile "Star Wars" film actor Mark Hamill reunited with his classic weapon.

The preview shows that Sabine is fairly good at it despite not being a Jedi. Kanan is seen to be stricter and far harsher to Sabine than Ezra, using reverse psychology to pump her up, Screen Rant reported.

In the "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" animated series, the Darksaber was revealed to hold a very sacred place with Madalorians. Anyone who wield it will gain control over Death Watch.

The dark blade has a long history that could be traced back to the first Mandolorian Jedi, Ta Vizsla who is also presumed to be an ancestor of Sabine.

Elsewhere, "Star Wars" live-action actor Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) had a reunion with the original light saber. The last time he got his hands on it was in "Return of the Jedi," The Wrap reported.

Brandon Alinger of Prop Store LA brought it to Hamill's YouTube show called "Mark Hamill's Pop Culture Quest." Hamill was astonished upon seeing the original prop after a long time saying, "I haven't seen this thing in years."

"It was just like they did the effects in 'I Dream of Genie' or whatever. Boink! And it pops in," he said. The special effects prop was also the very same one used by Alec Guinnes (Obi-Wan Kenobi) in "A New Hope."

In "Star Wars: Episode VII," Hamill was reunited with his lightsaber when Rey found him and gave it to him. In "Episode VIII," he will reportedly play a larger role after the reveal of his whereabouts.

"Star Wars Rebels" Season 3 continues with "Trials of the Darksaber" while "Episode VIII" won't hit theaters until Dec. 15, 2017. Watch Hamill get reunited with the iconic weapon on the clip below:
