Among the most popular K-pop girl bands of today Girls' Generation, 2NE1, 4Minute, miss A and f(x). Here is a list of the 10 K-pop female artists with the most followers on Instagram:

10. Kim Hyoyeon of Girls' Generation: 2.9 million Instagram followers

Born in Incheon, South Korea, on Sept. 22, 1989, Kim had a formal dance training at an early age. She has worked with Janet Jackson and one of Justin Timberlake's choreographers.

9. Amber Josephine Liu of f(x): 2.9 million Instagram followers

Born in Los Angeles, California, of parents from Taiwan on Sept. 18, 1992, Liu is a Chinese American rapper. She joined f(x) in 2009.

8. Lee Susan Soonkyu a.k.a Sunny of Girls' Generation: 3 million Instagram followers

Born in Orange County, California, on May 15, 1989, Sunny is the niece of S.M. Entertainment founding chairman Lee Soo-man. She starred in the Korean production of Broadway musical "Catch Me If You Can" in 2012.

7. Bae Suji a.k.a. Suzy of miss A: 3.1 million Instagram followers

Born in Gwangju, South Korea, on Oct. 10, 1994, Suzy joined miss A in 2010. She and "Gangnam Blues" actor Lee Min-ho confirmed their relationship in 2015.

6. Kwon Yuri of Girls' Generation: 3.2 million Instagram followers

Born in Gyeonggi, South Korea, on Dec. 5, 1989, Kwon finished second in the  SM Youth Best Dancer Contest in 2001. She starred in the 2013 South Korean sports film "No Breathing" opposite Lee Jong-Suk and Seo In-guk.

5. Stephanie Young Hwang a.k.a Tiffany of Girls' Generation: 3.3 million Instagram followers

Born in San Francisco, California, on Aug. 1, 1989, Tifanny was 15 when she joined S.M. Entertainment. She is also a member of the Girls' Generation sub-group TTS.

4. Kim Hyuna of 4Minute: 3.4 million Instagram followers

Born in Seoul, South Korea, on June 6, 1992, Hyuna is known not only as the main rapper of 4Minute but also for her appearance in the music video of the record-breaking song "Gangnam Style"by South Korean rapper Psy.

3. Sandara Park a.k.a. Dara of 2NE1: 3.5 million Instagram followers

Born in Busan, South Korea, on Nov. 12, 1984, Dara pursued a career as an actress and singer in the Philippines before joining 2NE1. She serves as the Communications Director of the K-pop group.

2. Lee Chaelin a.k.a. CL of 2NE1: 3.6 million Instagram followers

Born in Seoul, South Korea, on Feb. 26, 1991, CL is featured in several international songs including "Daddy" by Psy and "Dirty Vibe" by Skrillex with Diplo and Big Bang's G-Dragon.

Born in North Jeolla, South Korea, on March 9, 1989, Tae-yeon is a fan of Derek Hough and Will Yun Lee's "Make Your Move" co-star Kwon Bo Ah, who is professionally known as BoA and dubbed the Queen of K-pop.
