2NE1's Park Bom, CL and Dara are confirmed to release their farewell song after the girl group decided to disband in November.

YG Entertainment made the announcement on Thursday, stating that 2NE1 is planning to say a formal goodbye to their fans through a song.

"As 2NE1 were not able to say a final goodbye to fans due to their sudden disbandment, they plan to send a song," the label said as noted by Allkpop.

Further reports revealed the three 2NE1 members have finished the recording as well as the filming of the "Good Bye" song music video which will be released on Jan. 21.

Meanwhile, an exclusive report stated the "Good Bye" song was personally written by CL with the help of composers J Gramm and Rock Monroe, Soompi reported. Reports claimed the song was supposed to be used for CL's solo promotional activities in the United States.

The 2NE1 member reportedly wrote the song after the girl group announced their disbandment a couple of months ago. However, YG Entertainment had the idea of releasing "Good Bye" as a farewell song of 2NE1.

The label later reached out to the 2NE1 members and asked them to dedicate the song the all Blackjacks.

On the other hand, many Blackjacks were elated to hear about the announcement; however, there were many of them who called out 2NE1 to include Minzy in their farewell song.

"But please contact Minzy!!! She was part of the group until she left but it wasn't far from when 2NE1 officially disbanded," a fan said. Another fan argued that Minzy has decided not to be part of 2NE1 the moment she decided to leave.

"I think it's because Minzy have given up the group already while the 3 wants to push it still," a commenter said.

Stay tuned for 2NE1's final song on Jan. 21.
