Harrison Ford will be reprising his role as Rick Deckard in the upcoming movie "Blade Runner 2049." This time, the story will revolve around Ryan Gosling's character as LAPD Officer K. The movie is scheduled for release this 2017.

"Blade Runner 2049" is the sequel to the 1982 sci-fi movie, "Blade Runner" and Ford, who has played a major role in the prequel is expected to only play a smaller part this time. According to Comicbook, the 74-year-old actor is the only cast member from the original film who confirmed his participation in this project.

Ford has been busy working on "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" before he was able to film his part for "Blade Runner 2049," which took place in Hungary. Ryan Gosling said during an interview with the press that they have already filmed a lot of scenes for many months before Ford finally showed up to shoot his parts.

The whole time the cast was waiting for him was a bit nervewracking because they couldn't tell if he would really be a part of it. The "La La Land" star said that they felt relieved after he finally arrived and got everyone to just start working. The 36-year-old actor was happy to work with Ford and said that it was his pleasure that they get to collaborate in this project.

Digital Spy wrote about its official release date that is on Oct. 6, 2017. The studio changed it from their original plan of releasing it on Jan. 12, 2018. Denis Villeneuve is directing this sequel and the cast also involves huge names like Jeremy Renner, Jared Leto, Mackenzie Davis, Dave Bautista and Robin Wright just to name a few.

Fans are encouraged to mark their calendars as this movie hits theaters on Oct. 6 in the United States.
