After 10 years of airing, "The Big Bang Theory" continues to entertain its viewers which can be associated to Jim Parsons' excellent portrayal of his character, Dr. Sheldon Cooper.

However, there have been rumors stating that Parsons will bow out from "The Big Bang Theory" to focus in making Hollywood films. In fact, Parsons stars on "Hidden Figures" which will be released on Dec. 25 in theaters nationwide.

During an interview with Variety, the actor said "Hidden Figures" reminds him of his previous film "The Normal Heart," citing that both Hollywood films are based from true stories.

"The funny thing about "Hidden Figures" is when we shot it, I was in my world with Taraji and Kevin [Costner]. But when I watch it, I feel just as connected to all the other stories. Which I think is a testament to Ted," he said.

"Hidden Figures" is directed by Ted Melfi, who is known for his works "Bed & Breakfast: Love is a Happy Accident" and "St. Vincent." Parsons revealed he had previously worked with Melfi on a couple of advertisements; hence, he immediately said yes when offered to take part on "Hidden Figures."

On the other hand, "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 could be the last for Parsons as he tries to swift from the small screen into making films. Also, there have been reports claiming the actor's contract with the popular TV show expires after the current installment.

Previously, Kunal Nayyar hinted in a post that Season 10 could be the final installment of the CBS show, E! Online cited.

"Look, next season, as it stands on our contract, could be the last season of "Big Bang Theory." To be completely honest, I know people are gonna want to know what happens after season 10. I don't know what's going to happen," Nayyar, who plays as Rajesh Koothrappali, said.

Catch your favorite "The Big Bang Theory" character every Thursday at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
