Jim Parsons, who is famous for his role as socially awkward Sheldon Cooper in "Big Bang Theory," is now executive producing a new show called "Lance 2.0."

Parsons is executive producing "Lance 2.0" with Todd Spiewak and Alex McAulay, who is also the writer of the new show, Variety reported. The series is a single-camera comedy that follows a young couple dealing with the aftermath of an accident that left the boyfriend with impulse control problems.

Eric Norsoph will oversee Parsons' new comedy. Norsoph is also the head of development and production of "That's Wonderful," which is also one of Parsons' projects.

"Lance 2.0" is an addition to Parsons' growing number of projects. The 43-year-old actor and producer has executive produced other shows including the hospital comedy TV show "Lakeside VA," "The Terranauts," and "The Monarchy Is Going to Shit," Radio Times reported.

Besides those shows, he will also executive produce the much anticipated "Big Bang Theory" spinoff, which will follow the story of young Sheldon. All of his projects are under Warner Bros. TV.

It seems like Parsons isn't just successful as an actor and as an executive producer, he also has a successful relationship with boyfriend Todd Spiewak, who is his co-writer in "Lance 2.0." The two celebrated their 14th anniversary a couple of weeks ago.

Parsons posted a photo online of him and his boyfriend singing on a karaoke years ago. He added a sweet caption, saying he met Spiewak 14 years ago and that he was the best thing that ever happened to him.

He also said that he is thankful that his boyfriend no longer makes him sing karaoke. He added that the photo was taken by a real camera since their phones didn't have the capacity to do that back then.

He also talked about how coming out as a gay person was a relief. He said he didn't really have a big coming out event. It just happened one day on an interview with New York Times' Patrick Healy. Since he has always been around Spiewak back then, Healy suddenly asked him if it was meaningful working on "The Normal Heart" as a gay man. Parsons answered with a big yes.

He said he was thankful to Healy for helping him come out as gay guy, and that it was such a relief.
