"Honestly, I'm just happy we won tonight," said Westbrook when asked about how he felt that the streak ended. "That's the most important thing. As a player, I always try to look forward. Maybe at the end of the season, I can talk about it, but as of right now, my job is to move forward and get ready for Portland."
Meanwhile, the Blazers dropped its fourth consecutive game as the team suffered a sorry 121-120 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples on Monday night, as per Oregon Live.
CJ McCollum had 25 points, five rebounds, and three assists while Damian Lillard had 24 points, five, boards, and eight assists. Mason Plumlee contributed 18 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and five shot blocks in a losing effort.
Al-Farouq Aminu netted 10 points as four Portland starters scored in double figures. Off the bench, Evan Turner and Allen Crabbe fired 15 and 13 points respectively.
Prediction
OKC is 5-4 on away games so far this season while Portland is 7-4 at home. It will again be a tight contest for both squads, but the Thunder will prevail with the help of Westbrook.
