Oh My Girl's agency has released an update regarding JinE's present condition after the idol decided to take a hiatus due to anorexia.
On Aug. 25, WM Entertainment announced JinE is struggling on her health condition, which forced the Oh My Girl member to temporarily stop her promotions. "JinE is stopping all promotions due to her health condition," the agency said as per Allkpop.
The agency admitted JinE has been struggling from anorexia since she joined Oh My Girl. It added the idol has been seeing the doctor for treatment of the health problem.
"After a long and thorough discussion with JinE, we decided on a break as our artist's health is first and foremost," WM Entertainment said.
Despite JinE's temporary hiatus, the label said Oh My Girl will continue their promotions while the co-member tries to recover from the health condition. After more than three months, the label has once again released an update on JinE's present condition.
According to Soompi, the label shared JinE is currently living with her parents as she recovers from anorexia. The update was released to answer the queries of fans who are wondering about the JinE's progress.
"For many of you who are worried about JinE, she is currently staying with her parents back at home, and is focusing on regaining her health. She is concentrating on getting treatment. Please continue to support her so that she returns with a much healthier image," WM Entertainment said.
While many fans are happy with the update shared by the agency, others are wondering whether JinE will return with Oh My Girl or not. Other fans also expressed they miss JinE, but understand the idol has to prioritize her health.
"I wonder if she will return to Oh My Girl one day. Her health is the most important thing, and being an idol maybe isn't healthy for her. I would support her with all my heart if she leaves and decides to do something else," a commenter said.
