Who wouldn't want a spinoff film on the odd galactic dynamic duo, Groot and Rocket Raccoon? Of course, nothing is close to impossible with directorial visionary James Gunn, according to actor Vin Diesel.

According to the actor, director James Gunn is actually planning to get a Groot and Rocket Raccoon spinoff film following "Avengers: Infinity War." With the unique, quirky alien duo already having their own spinoff comicbook series, it's nothing close to impossible seeing Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper donning their CGI fan favorite roles once again for their comedy-filled space adventure once again in Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"I think if it's up to James Gunn," Diesel mentioned in an interview with ScreenJunkies, "you're going to see a Groot-Rocket movie after Infinity Wars. That's highly possible."

Speaking of "Avengers: Infinity War," the first movie is due to premiere in 2018, while the second slated Avengers film, titled "Infinity Wars Part 2," is due out 2019.

With the number of Marvel-based movies lining up for future releases, there are three unannounced Marvel movies already set for release in 2020. This could possibly be where the Groot and Rocket Raccoon spinoff film might slot in.

With the hype of the latest trailer showing Groot and Rocket Raccoon, fans can't wait to see more of them in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" coming out on May 5, 2017.

Along with the release of the movie, Telltale Games is releasing another videogame title with the "Guardians of the Galaxy" vibe along with (or at least close to) as well. It's uncertain whether the developers will be including actual movie cast to voice their videogame counterparts, but Telltale Games CEO Kevin Bruner mentioned that it will have the "the energizing blend of humor, emotion, teamwork, and full-on sci-fi action-adventure" of the franchise along with "unique style of interactive storytelling" of Telltale Games.
