In a recent announcement by Electronic Arts (EA), "Star Wars: Battlefront" will be available on the subscription based EA Access as part of the free game library starting December 13. The free game vault has been adding up since October with games such as "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" and "EA Sports UFC 2" already included. EA Access is a service for the Xbox One similar to that of Origin Access for the PC, though "Star Wars Battlefront" is not yet available on Origin Access. The PlayStation 4 on the other hand does not have any similar platform.

EA Access is available to Xbox One owners for a $30 per year or $5 per month subscription. The membership also comes with a 10 percent discount on all digital EA content. Some of the other games included with the Access are "FIFA 14", "Battlefield 4", and "Peggle 2". Origin Access also has its share of free games and EA has mentioned that they will not remove games from the vault once they have been added.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" recently released their fourth and final expansion, "Rogue One: Scarif". As the name denotes, the downloadable content (DLC), is inspired by the upcoming film "Rogue One" and will have players fight in settings similar to that of the movie. There are four new maps included in the DLC all located on the planet Sarif. Two new heroes are also added to the game including Jyn Erso and director Orson Krennic. The new characters come with their signature weapons. Jyn's blaster pistol can be equipped with three different configurations at the cost of replacing a hand of Star Cards. Orson's heavy blaster on the other hand has high damage and fast rate of fire. Other things included with "Rogue One: Scarif" are the Sonic Imploder hybrid grenade and power-ups for two ships. The expansion also introduces a new mode called Infiltration where players will battle across three phases, each with different objectives.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" was released last November 17 and is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
