Only a few months before hitting theaters, the latest live-action reimagination of a classic fairy tale by Walt Disney Studio has released a new international trailer with never before seen footages. "Beauty and the Beast", which has set record viewing for its first trailer released, will follow the footsteps of "Cinderella", another much-loved classic story retold by Disney.
According to Screen Rant, the new international trailer included most of the scenes from the first trailer released for North America. But there were some differences as the international trailer has included some unreleased footage.
The said international trailer was released by Film Trailer Zone, which is shorter compared to the North American version. However, the former has combined already seen footage from the full trailer, some of the teasers, and a few new brief scenes only the keen eyes can detect.
But all of the videos released showed the iconic Disney castle where the timeless love story between the Beast and Belle has begun. The international trailer, however, gave a new close up of Cogsworth, played by Ian McKellan; and Lumiere played by Ewan McGregor.
As mentioned, the new footage was brief as it was a beautiful sunrise shot juxtaposed with the iconic castle. It was then followed by a condensed version of the North American trailer where scenes of Kevin Kline playing Belle's father and the battle between Gaston portrayed by Luke Evans and the Beast were cut out.
If one is expecting a glimpse of totally new scenes or footage of the extravagant musical numbers, the new international trailer would truly disappoint. The new sunrise shot of the castle does not reveal anything new about the film's story.
Also, the scenes of Lumiere and Cogsworth are just the same with the previously released clips albeit shot in a whole different angle. But from the overall perspective, the new trailer of "Beauty and the Beast" tells one important thing, the live-action adaptation has not lost the magic of the original animated film.
