Android Nougat 7.0 update has started rolling out to the LG G5 under T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular. The 2016 flagship device is the first from LG to receive the latest Android OS.

Following Sprint's roll out of the update last month, T-Mobile as well as, US Cellular recently announced that Nougat is finally landing on LG G5. According to T-Mobile's announcement, Android 7.0 Nougat update for the LG G5 also brings Android Security patch along with the improvements of the latest OS. However, customers should note that the update is rolling out in phases. So, not all LG G5 users will receive the update all at once, Phone Arena reported.

The update weighs 1.27GB via OTA. The update will appear on the notifications bar once the update is available. Although users may still check the update manually if it's already available on their end. Users are also advised to have at least 80% of their battery and a strong WIFI connection before updating their devices to avoid download interruptions.

Among flagship devices, LG G5 is also the first to receive the Nougat update. Its rivals Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have not received the update yet as it is still on Beta stage while HTC 10 unlocked versions started to receive the update too.

On the other news, B&H Photo Video offers a great deal for LG G5 which saves the buyers around $500. The phone is currently being offered for $449 with free LG Friends which include LG CAM Plus module, the LG 360 VR headset, a charging cradle and removable battery. The LG Friends bundle is worth $300 when purchased separately.
