It's strange sometimes when we don't hear anything from old titles then they suddenly show up with something new like a patch or a mod. Such is the case with "Grand Theft Auto IV." Yes, "GTA IV." Not the fifth one, but the fourth installment. The game has actually resurfaced once more for a patch that it first received in over six years, according to publisher Rockstar Games.

However, if you're expecting something grand like graphical overhauls or better gameplay or fixes, then get ready to be disappointed. The only thing that the PC Patch will be likely bringing is compatibility with Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 operating systems, as well as some small performance optimizations. And that's just about it.

Other than that, Rockstar Games also mentioned that the patch for "Grand Theft Auto IV" can also fix some minor bugs, but it's nothing close to a groundbreaking change.

This actually brings up some muddled history on the relationship between the "Grand Theft Auto" series and Rockstar and the PC platform, which was riddled with countless issues. It was even worth noting that "Grand Theft Auto V" was planned for a release on the PC at first, with non-console players waiting to get the game around April 2015.

Players around the PC gaming community had to often rely on mods to improve the gameplay itself rather than relying on Rockstar to do the job, according to Gamespot. It was also worth noting that "Grand Theft Auto IV" was one of the worst PC ports that recently came out. The game was riddled with performance issues and, well, basically it was just broken, which caused uproar among the PC gaming community.

Rockstar's other hit game "Red Dead Redemption" is also said to come out for the PC sometime soon, and we going to be way better than how the PC version of "GTA IV" was treated.
