After seeing the success of "Kung Fu Panda" movies in China, Dreamworks Animation is releasing its latest installment "Kung Fu Panda 3" in China and in the United States. simultaneously on Jan. 29. The premiers of the movie was screened on Jan. 18, Monday, which was attended by several Hollywood as well as Chinese stars.

As the event started, Hollywood stars Jack Black, who voices the main character Po, and Kate Hudson walked the red carpet showing off their goofy side. The duo also larked about and threw out some kung fu moves as they posed for photos together.

While the 46-year-old comedian was suited up with a grey tie and checked button-up shirt underneath, the "Bride Wars" actress  looked stunning in blue jumpsuit by Atelier Versace, the couture line from the Italian super label. She complimented her look with nude heel and poker straight blonde locks, Daily Mail reported.

Other stars who attended the event were Chinese superstar Jackie Chan, Huang Lei and superstar pianist Lang Lang. While Chan brought a couple of panda toys along with him to the event, Lei looked dapper in suit and was accompanied by a giant panda. Lei has voiced Po in the Chinese version of "Kung Fu Panda 3."

Chan has voiced Master Monkey in the English version and Po's biological father in the Chinese version of the hotly-anticipated animated movie. The star expressed his happiness at the event by saying that he is hoping for more movies like this to help foreigners understand China.

"I'm very delighted to see foreign production companies engage in making Chinese animations, helping to spread Chinese culture. So I'm always ready to provide voices for characters in these films," CRI English quoted the 61-year-old actor as saying.

To tap the maximum profit from the mainland, two versions of the film, one in English and one in Chinese, were written and animated from the scratch. As a result, the dialogue's humour suits each respective culture and the character's speech is also in synch with the animation in both languages.

The first two "Kung Fu Panda" movies were huge performers in China, both setting box-office records for animated features at the time of their releases there. Watch the trailer of "Kung Fu Panda 3" here:
