More and more updates have been sprouting about as we hear about the film adaptation of Sony's action adventure game "Uncharted" being under way. Last week, we heard that "Stranger Things" director Shawn Levy will be helming the film and, right now, we hear that the film is already looking for a leading man.

According to an interview with Gizmodo's io9, Levy already mentioned that he some actors in mind. He even mentioned that he is open for suggestions being given to him in social media sites like Twitter and Facebook on who should take the role of the adventurous treasure hunter, Nathan Drake. It was actually reported that the "Stranger Things" director had already "started some very secret, low-grade conversations and explorations of actors." However, until we hear something more solid, any of the suggestions given to him at this point can be accepted.

IGN also mentioned that Levy also spoke about the film's mood and tone.  Based on the script that "The Grey" writer Joe Carnahan presented, the live adaptation of "Uncharted" will have a "really cool and unique plot."

"We have a tone that Joe and I are channeling right into the script that is that Nathan-blend of real guy, heroism, snarky, funny wit," explained Levy. "I think we figured out the tone in an exciting way."

The director also mentioned that it's been quite some since we "had a great, and contemporary, treasure hunter movie." The "Uncharted" movie that will be distributed by Sony promises to bring a "combination of the hunt, the action, the relationships and the characters." Levy also said that the movie will be "really unique and super juicy."

The game's developer Naughty Dog has been known to create epic action sequences for players to enjoy, which Levy intends to translate that into the big screen.

With all these excitement, "Uncharted" the movie does not have a release date yet. But the "Stranger Things" director hopes that he will finish production by next year.
