NBC’s time travelling drama series “Timeless” went back to year 1944 where Nazis were holding a party and a sudden bomb explosion was heard from nearby. The explosion was from a detonation created by Flynn and his gang and it appeared to be an atomic bomb.

An atomic bomb in a Nazi era posed a disastrous future. At that time, the Germans were not yet able to successfully develop an atomic weapon and getting their hands on it could greatly change the tide of war.

Our time travelling heroes obviously followed the villains to 1944. Upon their arrival, their time capsule was spotted by a German soldier. To avoid further complications with their discovery, Wyatt shot the soldier. They then head to a pub to look for some Allied forces.

Fortunately, the three met Ian Fleming, a British spy impersonating a high-ranking German officer. They then decided to team up with the soon-to-be-iconic name to find and defuse the atomic bomb brought by Flynn.

It was not a shocker that the three with Fleming found the Germans working with Flynn to recreate the explosive. They then decided to look for Wernher von Braun, a German rocket scientist who, by historical records, would be instrumental to the Allied war effort during World War II.

They were able to grab Von Braun but there was a commotion as Fleming expressed his intention of giving von Braun to the Russians. When asked why he would give the scientist to America’s nemesis, allowing the Russians to develop rocket technology ahead than the Americans, Fleming simply said that he is a compatriot and that he hates working with the Americans.

When the Nazi soldiers were able to get the upper arm, Wyatt and Rufus armed the the rocket and cause a massive explosion that shakes the Castle Varlar. Lucy and Fleming then escaped to another room with von Braun and met up with Rufus and Wyatt. They blocked the door to prevent the German soldiers from coming, but the Nazis and Flynn tried to force their way in.

Lucy then noticed a symbol on the fireplace and remembered why the castle was special. She rememered that it contains a secret passageway which the team used to escape through the fireplace and safely arrived outside. The next day, the team sent von Braun over to the Allied Forces and head back home, to the present.

At the Mason Industries headquarters, Rufus told Mason that he no longer wants to spy on Lucy and Wyatt anymore. Mason reminded Rufus how deep he is in with Rittenhouse and urged him to continue spying on them. Rufus refused to betray his friends and head home.

On the road, Rufus’ car battery died, resulting to his car shutting down completely. A car approachesd him from behind, and a mysterious man went out. Rufus realized that the man is from Rittenhouse. The man suggested that if Rufus wants his family to stay safe, he needs to continue working for them. That means, spying on his new found friends. As soon as their conversation has finished, Rufus' car started back up.
