Looks like we'll be getting to watch our Disney Pixar favorites sooner than we expected - well, that is one of them at least. We once thought that we would have to wait nearly three years to actually watch "The Incredibles 2," but it looks like it will come sooner than the original planned date. However, for fans of "Toy Story," they might have to wait a little longer since it switched release dates with the superhero animated Pixar classic.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Toy Story 4" was originally supposed to hit theaters on June 15, 2018 but has now been slated for released on June 21, 2019 instead, making superhero family flick "The Incredibles 2" taking over the 2018 release. This was due to the film being ahead of its production schedules, based on reports, thus the change in release dates.
Disney actually had announced the sequels back then in 2014, which was a decade after the first film of "The Incredibles" had finished production and was released on theaters and four years after the "Toy Story 3" had concluded the family fun trilogy.
Based on earlier reports, writer and director Brad Bird mentioned that the sequel to the animated superhero action flick would be more focused on the characters themselves and how they would affect the story, rather than a showcase of amazing CGI effects of their superpowers.
The latest Disney Pixar movie released was "Finding Dory," which was the sequel to May 2003's "Finding Nemo." Their next projects include "Cars 3," which will be released on June 16, 2017, and "Coco," a film to be released on Nov. 22, 2017 based on the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos.
