Three MONSTA X members have been reported to have been involved in a car crash on Wednesday night.

A source revealed MONSTA X member Kihyun, Wonho and Hyungwon were headed to Seoul from Busan at around 11:00 p.m. when they encountered a minor accident, Soompi noted.

The source guaranteed the MONSTA X members did not suffer from any major injuries and are currently doing fine. Following the reported car crash, a source connected with Starship Entertainment has also spoken up about the accident.

"The accident was a minor collision. The members were startled but thankfully there were no injuries. Although it was a minor collision we plan on going to the hospital right away to check for any side effects if they feel any pain," the source revealed.

MONSTA X has been added to the long list of K-pop idols who have been involved in car accidents. Although most of these accidents are minor, there are also instances where lives have been lost due to car accidents.

A couple of years ago, two members of Ladies' Code passed away after the girl group encountered a major car crash, Allkpop reported. These car accidents raised concerns among K-pop idols themselves as well as their fans.

Looking back, Girl's Day member Yura once shared there was an instance where her manager fell asleep while driving because of exhaustion. Also, Girls' Generation members were previously involved in a minor car crash after their manager rushed them to get to a particular show.

Other car accidents happen while K-pop idols are en route to and from a show, while some happens while artists are heading out for a taping. Amid the rising number of K-pop idols involved in car accidents, it is still unknown on who to blame for these accidents.
