"Resident Evil 7" has been showing off its gameplay and environment gradually with video tidbits before its eventual release. The story elements will continue to unfold bit by bit as the game features the antagonistic Baker family, of course without revealing what the cause of their unnatural behavior is. In the latest videos, we see how players can get to treat their injuries with herbs and a creepy video where Jack Baker doesn't stay... dead.

According to Gamespot, the latest video is titled "Resident Evil 7: Vol.6 Immortal." Why is it called that? Well, in the video, the protagonist gets hit by a blunt object adorned with spikes that fashioned as a weapon by Jack Baker. Just like in some thriller/horror flicks, the bad guy nearly kills the character, the protagonist gets redeemed when the enemy gets killed at the last moment and it's happily ever from here on. Or so we thought.

However, for this video right before it ends, the protagonist hears a statement from the recently shot Jack Baker. "Oh, no, no, no. Now you're going to get it, boy," he says as he rises up once more to chase down the character. Even the video description mentions that "something's not quite right with Jack," which hints that players might encounter challenging enemies in the final game.

In the other video "Vol.5 Survival," it shows a 30-second footage of the wounded character approaching a safe or cabinet of some sort containing an herb according VG 24/7. As he picks it up, the character combines the herb with another item to make a bottle of medicine. Now, instead of the traditional spraying of healing tonic from the previous "Resident Evil" games, the latest title shows the tonic being poured on the wound and being healed almost instantly. The video description reads, "green herbs become even more potent with a new ingredient."

"Resident Evil 7" is slated for release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One Jan. 24. It also supports 4K when played on PS4 Pro.
