The Xbox One has beaten the PS4 in the console race for three months running. The market research company The NDP Group, Inc. confirmed that the Xbox One came out on top in September. Even Microsoft released a new commercial today for the Xbox One S with the title "Xbox One: The Best-Selling Console in America." Just to be clear though, the company meant that the Xbox One is the best-selling console in the US from July-September 2016.

Gamespot reports that the said video boasts that Xbox One is only console that a thousand games for gamers to play (which may also include the backwards compatible games), as well as around 100 exclusive titles. In addition to that, it also shows off Xbox One S's 4K Blu-ray player, a lacking aspect in Sony's PlayStation 4 Slim and PlayStation 4 Pro.

The video may have also referenced the independent study that concluded that Xbox Live was more reliable and faster than the PlayStation Network. This was backed by the fact the video mentioned that Microsoft's Xbox Live is the "fastest, most reliable" gaming network.

In related news, there have been a few games that have been made backwards compatible for the Xbox One via its Backwards Compatibility program, according to Express. These games include "Galaga Legions" and "Joe Danger 2: The Movie" and "The Orange Box" from Valve (which includes "Half Life 2: Episode 2," "Team Fortress 2," and "Portal"). There were also talks of "Call of Duty: Black Ops II" being next in line to be backwards compatible as well.
