CL makes history as the first Korean female solo artist to enter Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The singer made it to the chart with her U.S. debut track titled "Lifted."

CL's "Lifted" is currently at the 94th position, edging Kehlani's "Gangsta" at 95 and Travis Scott's "Goosebumps" at 96. Korea Times reports the song was first released on Aug. 19. CL performed it on CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" during its Sept. 16 broadcast. Even Corden himself was spotted singing along with CL.

"Lifted" is CL's first solo track released in full English. It is described as a fun and bouncy hip-hop track that boasts strong beats. According to Soompi, the second was produced by YG Entertainment's resident producer Teddy and was also written by him, together with CL and American rapper Asher Roth.

The song samples the Wu-Tang Clan's 1993 hit "Method Man". Since its release, the accompanying music video for "Lifted," in which Method Man himself makes a cameo appearance, has attained over 17 million views. The said music video was directed by Dave Meyers, who's done music videos for superstars and award-winning singers such as Rihanna, Jay Z and Katy Perry, to name a few.

The song, however, is the singer's second musical effort since breaking into the American music scene. Her first release was "Hello Bitches" in 2015, in which she sang and rapped in English and Korean.

CL has been making her presence in the United States even more known. Aside from her solo releases, the 25-year-old was featured in Diplo's "Doctor Pepper" and Skrillex's "Dirty Vibe." She's also a favorite muse of designer Jeremy Scott.

In the meantime, CL will begin her U.S.-Canada tour "Hello Bitches Tour 2016" in New York. She will visit a total of nine cities in the entire North American region.
