"Spider-Man: Homecoming" actor Logan Marshall-Green could potentially play Aunt May's love interest in the upcoming film. He could also turn out to be a villain according to reports.

Earlier reports said that the latest reiteration of "Spider-Man" film mythology will have Vulture (Michael Keaton) and Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine) villain, Screen Rant reported. As if that is not enough for Peter Parker to get his hands full, there are speculations that another villain in joining the fray.

The speculations point to Marshall-Green who will have a reportedly surprising and substantial role in the new "Spider-Man" mythos. His character will also likely play a bigger role in the upcoming films, Schmoes Know reported. Initial talks about his casting said that he might be a recurring villain for the franchise.

Marshall-Green could potentially play the role of Norman Osborn, fans speculated. They opined that the actor can play a character who will be old enough to have a high school-age son like Harry Osborn. Do note that none of these has been officially confirmed but his role is expected to be revealed soon as "Spider-Man: Homecoming" enter post production.

For the uninitiated, Harry Osborn is the son of Norman Osborn. In the comic books and previous film reiterations, he was Peter Parker's best friend until he embodied the persona of villainous Green Goblin. The role had been portrayed by James Franco in the 2002-2007 film trilogy while Dane DeHaan played the role in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" with Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" opens on July 7, 2017.
