The first "Dishonored" game had the players play Corvo in executing missions in many different methods. Now, Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Studios shows off the game's sequel "Dishonored 2" with the new protagonist Emily Kaldwell infiltrating a Clockwork Mansion in its latest gameplay demo.
According to DualShockers, there are two videos that were recorded from the demo. One featured Emily getting through the mansion in Low Chaos, meaning that the mission can focus primarily on stealth - just pure sneaking around and no casualties. For the other video, however, it showed the heroine accomplishing the clockwork mansion level with High Chaos. If players played the original "Dishonored" game, it showcased many different ways on how to derail, disable and execute enemies. That was what the second video entailed.
The gameplay featured the Clockwork Mansion being a massive and puzzling location, according to the first-hand gameplay by IGN. The mansion was described to have shifting walls and floors, in which Emily had to utilize her wits and acrobatic skills as an assassin. In addition to those, the protagonist also has supernatural powers just like Corvo from the first game.
In the mission, Emily has two objectives: To find and rescue an old friend named Anton Sokolov and to deal with his captor, Kirin Jindosh. Emily's abilities can either fit to the Low or High Chaos methods of finishing a mission. Players can use the Shadow Walk ability, which is an ideal tactic for sneaking around since it renders Emily invisible. Another ability is called Domino, which can be used for executions as it creates an invisible link in groups of enemies. When Emily dispatches a target connected to link, other enemies within that link are affected the same way as well.
"Dishonored 2" has yet to reveal more gameplay as it gets released for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One on Nov. 11.
