"Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" just celebrated its 20th birthday. Rumor has it that the most favorite and loved show during the late 1990's will have a reboot.

"Sabrina the Teenage Witch" premiered on ABC on Sept. 27, 1996 as one of its family-oriented "Thank God it's Friday" lineup. The bewitching program transitioned from a comic book where a teenage witch desired to blend in with her Massachusetts classmates. Simultaneously, she also wants to take the opportunity of what her magical powers can provide which attracted millions of viewers worldwide, according to Entertainment Weekly.

As Sabrina casts her charm in the television's prime time, the cost for the show was relatively high considering the necessity for elaborated special effects. Hart says that the show's budget is almost near to the mini movie's budget.

Melissa Joan Hart who played the character of Sabrina can't imagine that it's been 20 years already since she starred in the show and always pick on Salem, the black cat. Although now 40, she can't help but reminisce the good times she had with the show along with the other cast, as reported by E! News.

The Nutrisystem endorser now a mother of three, said that Sabrina's character is enjoyable and jam-packed with wonders and revelations. She remembered always arguing with Salem Saberhagen, the sarcastic cat. According to her, she was able to work with three types of cats - stuffed, live, and animatronic. There are instances that she has to work with all three depending on the scene needed.

She added that it is exciting and enjoyable but challenging as well. The set which smells like cat food makes it gross until she can't take cats anymore. Nevertheless, she still loves her role.

"Nearly six months before the TV series premiered, Sabrina's 'unofficial pilot' premiered as a TV movie on Showtime," she dished. "In the movie, Sabrina's last name was Sawyer. Ryan Reynolds portrayed Seth, Sabrina's short-lived love interest."

As of the moment, Hart has a close tie with two people who happened to be her aunts in the enchanting show, Caroline Rhea who played Aunt Hilda and Beth Broderick as Aunt Zelda. And when asked about the show having a reboot, she said that doing reboots are really difficult to do and hard to do right. She added that it would be better if it will be left in the past that way unless a reboot will do great.
